    LOL, Brenkis, Everyone in my class hated it too. I think I was the only one who liked it. One of my fav verses: The very deep did rot, oh Christ that this should be, yay slimy things did crawl with legs upon the slimy sea. Learned all the verses with swear words.

    None taught in my English class either - early 50's. I remember having to learn several verses of "The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner", but we were never given specific fiction books to read.
