  As much as I love both the book and the two movies for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (new one was better, more faithful to the book and more interesting) I have to go with Wild Things. It was my absolute favourite book as a child, and Spike Jonze directed it so well - Max Records was fantastic.

  Harry Potter is a wonderful series I have read all seven books at least twenty times I enjoy it very much! I have taken the books to the local nursing homes and read them to the seniors there, They also enjoyed the adventures of Harry and his friends.

  I'm over 30 yoa and Harry Potter was not around when I was a child. Black Beauty was though. I've yet to see a movie version that can match the book though.
